Soundtracks

I enjoy soundtracks as much as I would enjoy a song done by a musical group (if not more) because of the visual provided for you. Soundtracks actually accompany something. The images that run through my head when I listen to music are too surreal to ever describe, so it is a nice change to have more clues as to what a song means to invoke in you.

Soundtracks, for example, accompany the emotion of an actor in a movie or the setting that your virtual character is running around in when you play a video game or the innocence of a delinquent child, as the song on this blog does.

(xylophones always hint at children, don't they?)

Songs with lyrics are accompanied by the actual instruments: the lyrics are actually poems. This is why I never intensely listen to what the vocalist is saying, only to how he/she sounds. Words are too precise and will practically spoil an image by giving too much direction and practically defining whatever I wanted to imagine for myself.

Don't get me wrong though, I actually appreciate the guidance that music/visuals provide for the sake of the other.

Don't completely spoil it though!
