And yes, the whole cynicism leading nowhere is very true. It has been detrimental to my psychological well being for as long as I can remember.

I'd been theorizing about it a while ago, but then I forgot to think about it because I wasn't being so cynical about myself and my future. I have to say, I am feeling very good now.

I'll leave you with a very very morbid quote I've read about the internet and the weakness of the masses:

"You know what's funny? In Lenny Bruce's day, if you practiced free speech you were persecuted by society. Today, anything goes. However, in this day of the corporate mass media, your voice is swallowed up by the sheer volume of it all. You are not persecuted, you are ignored. That's a much more subtle and effective way to control people."

Heh, I'll give you an example of this. I subscribed to one blog a while ago and it flooded the little section that tells you about recent posts from ALL my subscriptions/friends/(w/e). Facebook does it similarly too; I stop caring about those people who take too many quizzes and post dumb statuses (by my own definition of dumb).

So yes, I don't even feel smart enough to try to compete for attention in this world of the internet. Too many better-read people out there.

That's where I'm at, I haven't had a deep thought since summer and now, when I try, I can't.

I also stopped listening to hip hop religiously.

Time to change this.

5 ridiculous goals

I've been writing a list. Not in light of the new year, however as time just doesn't matter to me anymore. Here are 5 that I got a kick out of:

14. Befriend a complete stranger.

27. Draw and frame another pencil-shaded self portrait.

20. Drink with an Irish man at a pub.

10. Write a movie script about revolution.

19. Encounter a blue whale.

Any potential character I would have wanted had i written a "serious" would develop afterward.
