The Princess and the Frog was a fine movie to watch before the year ended. The only thing that could have been better was the musical numbers. They were still complete songs, but not as catchy as the songs done in the other Disney movies.
I love how easily drama falls into place with Disney movies. Most movies don't even show a confrontation between the protagonist and antagonist until the end of the movie. Why? Because it barely even matters!
I noticed that the movie had many opportunities to add drama and extend the movie's running time, but these opportunities were simply ignored to keep the main story from being saturated with bullshit drama.
"Wow," I thought.
It's that easy.

Today I concluded that while I feel that I have exceptional creative prowess, I could never direct a music video to show off a song like Nowhere Man in the same exceptional way these video game designers did...
...or direct a Water Show like the one I saw at the Americana in Glendale today.

Regrets
I passed by Hollywood today and saw the traditional Santa picture taking sessions going on, with the trees and the lights and the snow, but more importantly I noticed that Spiderman was in the crowd of people that was going to be taking a picture.
One of my few regrets in life will be not having taken a picture with both Santa and Spiderman in the same frame tonight.
This is the original way that the "Snowman" song sounded. I pay heavy respects to classics. Somehow, they manage to sound better in spite of the older technology.
One of my passions is the direction of video games.
I'm a big fucking nerd (maybe even geek) if you haven't caught onto that from my latest blogs. I hadn't been playing games since junior year of high school though just because I didn't feel like it.
But now the art has caught my eye again. And I will be keeping you updated on that from now on in addition to the other stupid things I rant about.
(I have a good rant topic swirling in my head as of this writing.)

Damn it!
Back in the day, I would occasionally "copy" images and put them up on my wall. I'm quoting "copy" because while the things I drew were not original I did not literally trace the images off of their original source. The rushed pencil marks make a "copy" unique to the point where I called the images my own. They used to be good. I pulled off a self portrait that made my art teacher say "oh my god" back in 10th grade. But now....
....I guess I need a little more inspiration.
Unfortunately, my dad threw away one of my inspirations last year. My awesome (imo) self portrait, my magnum opus, was nowhere to be found the day I went back home from college last year. It's one of the few things that has ever brought me to tears.
I wonder why I never hung it up. I only kept it in storage and showed it to people whenever I thought they were worthy of it. That previous sentence is a lie, I was always eager to show it to anybody because I was so damn proud of it.
My dad said he threw it away because there was no space for it.
I admit, I hated him for approximately 10 minutes after he told me that.
The moral of the story is: shit happens.
